Whitehouse business brokers and M&A advisors
Whitehouse sits just southeast of Tyler in Smith County, on State Highway 110 and FM 346, with Lake Tyler inside its extraterritorial jurisdiction. MDR & Associates brings together M&A advisors who work only for Texas sellers, and if you are thinking of selling a company here, our advisors will come to Whitehouse to meet you at your business or at a spot away from curious eyes.
From farm town to a Tyler suburb of 8,257
James Calhoun Hill, an auctioneer, is credited with founding the community, which was named in 1845 but not incorporated until 1953. By oral tradition the name comes from railroad engineers who stopped near a whitewashed community building. Residents were mostly farmers, or worked in support of farming, until transportation changes after World War II opened other kinds of work.
Today Whitehouse is part of the Tyler metropolitan area, about seven miles from Tyler, and it had 8,257 residents at the 2020 census, nearly a third of them under 18. The city has grown steadily and continues to attract residents and businesses, and Whitehouse ISD runs seven schools on six campuses.

Selling a family-owned company close to Tyler
A company in Whitehouse often serves customers across Smith County, and a buyer will see it as part of the Tyler market. That widens the pool: regional competitors, private equity groups building a presence in East Texas and individual buyers who want a business near a growing town all look at companies like yours. What they want to see is steady profit, a customer list not tied to one account, and people who can run the work without you.
Home-service companies are a good example, whether they install air conditioners, fix pipes, replace roofs or keep lawns in shape; our home services page explains how buyers value them. For a first sense of where you stand, a few minutes with our valuation snapshot tool produces a rough figure, and a confidential meeting with our advisors turns three years of statements into an opinion of value.
In a town of about 8,000, word travels. We market your company under a blind profile, share details only with buyers who sign a nondisclosure agreement, and schedule visits when employees and customers will not notice. Our East Texas page shows the rest of our coverage.

Questions owners in Whitehouse ask
Will a buyer treat my Whitehouse company as a Tyler business?
Usually, yes, and that tends to help. Buyers think in markets, and a company seven miles from Tyler can serve the whole metro area. We describe your service area and customer base accurately, so buyers weigh the whole territory you serve and not only the town on your letterhead.
Can I sell my Whitehouse company to a buyer who plans to keep the name and the crew?
Yes, and many buyers want exactly that, because a known name and a trained crew are part of what they pay for. If keeping both matters to you, we raise it early, weigh it when comparing offers and write it into the terms where we can, such as retention plans for key employees.
