Spring business brokers and M&A advisors
MDR & Associates represents owners in Spring who want to sell, acting as their business brokers and M&A advisors and never for the buyer. Spring is a census-designated place in Harris County along Interstate 45, inside Houston's extraterritorial jurisdiction, and our advisors come to your office or another discreet location for every meeting.
Rail yards first, then a corporate campus
Spring grew as a farming community, where sugar cane and cotton were the main cash crops and residents grew vegetables. The International and Great Northern Railroad opened through town in 1871, and by 1910 Spring was a rail hub with 200 rail workers, 14 track yards and about 1,200 people. Old Town Spring later became a destination with over 150 shops, restaurants and art galleries.
The biggest recent change is ExxonMobil. Its corporate campus along Interstate 45, adjacent to the Spring CDP, opened in 2014 with 9,000 employees, and in 2022 the company announced it would become its headquarters, moving from Irving. The 2020 census counted 62,559 people in Spring.

Which Spring companies draw buyer interest
A large corporate campus brings a steady need for contractors, staffing, office services, maintenance and suppliers. Companies that serve other businesses under repeat contracts are exactly what many private equity and strategic buyers look for, and our business services page explains how they judge contract terms, customer concentration and margins. Home services firms serving a population this size are another category we sell regularly.
Timing, pace and your say in the outcome
Most sales take three to nine months from engagement to funds wired; MDR has closed one in eight days and seen others take eighteen months. The pace depends on how ready your records are and how quickly buyers complete due diligence. Our process page walks through each stage. Throughout, you make the decisions: we present offers, explain their terms and recommend, and you choose. For the wider metro, see our Houston page.

Questions owners in Spring ask
Does ExxonMobil's campus near Spring change what my company is worth?
Not directly. Value comes from your own profit, growth and risk. If a large share of revenue comes from one corporate customer, buyers will weigh that concentration carefully, and contracts that can be assigned to a new owner help. Steady work from many local customers is often valued just as well.
Can a buyer from outside Texas buy a company in Spring?
Yes. Our database includes individual buyers, capital groups and private equity groups from across the country who want Texas companies. Each must sign a confidentiality agreement and show financial capacity before seeing details. We present every offer in person, whatever its source, and you decide which to accept, reject or counter.
