Channelview business brokers and M&A advisors

If your company is in Channelview and you are thinking about a sale, you can retain MDR & Associates, an M&A advisor paid by the seller and loyal only to the seller. Channelview is an unincorporated community of 45,688 in Harris County, 15 miles east of downtown Houston on the Houston Ship Channel. An advisor from Frisco comes out to meet you.

An unincorporated community on the ship channel's northeastern bend

Channelview takes its name from its place on the northeastern curve of the Houston Ship Channel, where the San Jacinto River forms the Old River. It lies north of Interstate 10 and the Missouri Pacific rail line and is a census-designated place rather than a city. Its history runs deep: Lorenzo de Zavala, a founder of the Republic of Texas, made his home here, and industrial use of the waterfront goes back at least to World War II, when the U.S. Army ran the San Jacinto Ordnance Depot here.

Channelview ISD and Galena Park ISD both have their headquarters in the community, and San Jacinto College serves it. For an owner, the practical point is position: the community sits on the water, beside a major interstate and a rail line, a combination that buyers of industrial and distribution companies look for.

Why suppliers and service firms on the channel attract buyers

A ship channel location, with I-10 at the door and downtown Houston 15 miles away, is an asset for a distributor, a fabricator or an industrial service company, and buyers already operating in Greater Houston understand it immediately. They will still test the basics: whether revenue is spread across enough customers, whether key people have reasons to stay, and whether three years of financials reconcile with the returns. For any industrial site, expect questions about environmental reports as well.

Our distribution and wholesale page explains what buyers look for in a company that moves product. For the sale itself, we recast the financials, write a confidential book on the company and film an HD video, show the company to qualified buyers first, and negotiate more than one letter of intent so you can compare real offers. If the numbers suggest waiting a year would add value, we tell you so. The Houston page covers the rest of the metro, and the Gulf Coast region page lists nearby communities.

Questions owners in Channelview ask

Does it matter that Channelview is not an incorporated city?

Not for the value of your company. Buyers care about customers, earnings and people. Your attorney will confirm which county rules, permits and taxing districts apply, and we make sure those details are ready early, so due diligence on a Channelview property or lease moves without delays.

Will a Houston competitor find out I am selling my Channelview company?

Not from us. Competitors can sign up like any buyer, but they see only a blind profile at first, and we screen every request before sharing more. If a competitor is a serious bidder, we control what they see and when, so sensitive customer and pricing details stay protected until late in the process.
