If you want to sell a business in Socorro, our advisors will make the trip west to see you at your company or a discreet spot of your choosing.
A 1680 mission town on El Paso's southeast side
Socorro was established in 1680 by Manso and Piro people fleeing the Pueblo Revolt. It first incorporated in 1871 and incorporated again in 1985. The Socorro Mission dates to around 1840, and the Rio Vista Bracero Reception Center was named a National Historic Landmark in December 2023. The city adjoins El Paso to the west and San Elizario to the southeast, belongs to the El Paso metropolitan area and had 34,306 residents in 2020.
Its workforce is made up largely of sales and office employees, construction workers, builders and service providers. That mix points to the kinds of companies an owner here is likely to run: trades, home services, office and staffing firms, and businesses that supply the people building homes in the area.

Which Socorro trade companies we can take to market
We should be clear about construction. General contractors and firms that live on project bids are outside what we sell. We do represent trade and home-service companies that keep crews busy with repeat customers, such as HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, garage doors, pest control and similar businesses. Our home services page shows how buyers judge companies of that kind.
For a trade company, buyers look hard at how revenue arrives. Service agreements, warranty work and repeat residential customers are worth more to them than one-off jobs, and a company whose licensed technicians include people other than the owner is worth more than one where the owner holds every license. Buyers will also ask how you win residential customers, whether through builders, referrals or advertising, and how many come back each year. We sort this out in the recast so the right story reaches the right buyers.
Our fee depends entirely on a closing, as our fees page explains, and our West & North Texas coverage includes the El Paso area.

Questions owners in Socorro ask
Can a Socorro company attract buyers from outside El Paso County?
Yes. We market companies to qualified buyers across Texas and beyond, including private equity groups and people prepared to move for a good company. A buyer from elsewhere will want to understand the local customer base and workforce, and our confidential package and HD video are built to explain both clearly.
My Socorro plumbing company does new-home work for builders and repair calls for homeowners. How will buyers value it?
They will usually value the two streams differently. Repair and service calls from homeowners tend to repeat and earn a higher multiple, while work for builders depends on how many homes are being started. We separate them in the recast so buyers pay fairly for the steady part of the business.
