Fate business brokers and M&A advisors
Headquartered in Frisco, here in the Metroplex, MDR & Associates is the M&A firm that helps Fate owners sell a business on the best terms a competitive process can produce. Fate sits at the center of Rockwall County, a short run east of Rockwall on State Highway 66, so sitting down with you at your company is easy to arrange.
From two cotton gins to a town of 17,958
In the late 1800s Fate supported four doctors, two cotton gins, two grocery stores, a grain elevator and its own newspaper, The Fate Review. The Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad came through neighboring Barnes in 1886, and the two settlements merged early the next year to share the rail line and the post office. Fires in 1906 and 1910, a 1933 tornado and the Depression followed, and by 1950 only about 150 people remained.
The modern town is a different place. The census counted 602 residents in 2000, 6,357 in 2010 and 17,958 in 2020, close to three times the previous figure. Downtown Fate is 4.8 miles east of downtown Rockwall and 4.5 miles southwest of Royse City, with FM 551 running just north of I-30. The median age in 2020 was 32.6. Households arriving at that pace keep trade and service companies busy, and our home services page covers how buyers value HVAC, plumbing, roofing and landscaping companies with repeat customers.

Turning Rockwall County growth into a sale price
Growth helps a sale only if the numbers prove it. A buyer will want revenue by year, the share that repeats, and evidence that margins held while you hired to keep up. We recast your statements to show true owner earnings, write the confidential marketing package, film the HD video, and bring the company to buyers we have already vetted, from private investors to capital groups and private equity funds, before a single blind listing goes up.
Being in the Metroplex ourselves, we can set buyer meetings on short notice and in person, and one of our principals handles each round of negotiation. The goal is two or more letters of intent arriving together, because rival offers, not one bidder's opening number, should decide the price. Nearby markets are covered on our Dallas page and the wider Dallas–Fort Worth region page.

Questions owners in Fate ask
Does Fate's rapid growth raise what a buyer will pay for my company?
Growth around you helps, yet what a buyer pays for is your own track record. Rising revenue with steady margins, repeat customers and a team that can run the work without you is what moves a multiple. We show that record in a financial recast so buyers credit the growth you have actually achieved, not the town's.
Can I sell without my Rockwall County customers finding out?
Yes. The opening profile a buyer reads omits your name and address. Anyone who wants more must register, sign a confidentiality agreement and prove with a financial profile that the money is there. Meetings take place early, late or away from your shop, so word does not spread before you are ready.
