Las Colinas business brokers and M&A advisors
MDR & Associates serves Las Colinas owners who are ready to sell a business as a Metroplex M&A advisor working for the seller alone. Las Colinas is the planned business district in Irving, bounded by I-635 to the north and SH 183 to the south, and since the firm is headquartered in Frisco, meeting you in person takes little arranging.
Ben Carpenter's ranch, now home to 2,000 companies
Las Colinas started as Hackberry Creek Ranch, which Flossie Gardner Carpenter renamed El Ranchito de las Colinas. Ben H. Carpenter began developing it in 1972, and at more than 12,000 acres it was once the largest mixed-use development in the South. Today it holds about 25 million square feet of office space, more than 2,000 companies and some 3,400 single-family homes.
Global headquarters here include Caterpillar, Commercial Metals, ExxonMobil, Fluor, Celanese and Kimberly-Clark. SH 114 runs through the center, the President George Bush Turnpike crosses the west side, and both Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field are close by. The Irving Convention Center, the Toyota Music Factory and gondolas on the Mandalay Canal round out the district.

Selling a service company among corporate headquarters
Companies that sell services to large corporate customers carry the recurring revenue buyers value, and buyers read those contracts closely: length, renewal history, termination rights and whether a change of ownership needs the customer's consent. We bring the documents together early so the answers are ready when the questions come. Our business services page sets out what buyers pay for, and North Texas Surveying and Edward M. Polk Associates are two service firms MDR & Associates has sold.
In a district this dense with companies, word travels. Buyers are shown a blind profile, and your name goes only to those who have signed a confidentiality agreement and demonstrated they can finance the deal.
Our process for Irving owners
It opens with a discovery meeting, at no charge to you, where we examine three years of statements and share a value range. Next we recast the financials and prepare the confidential marketing package with its HD video, which buyers already in our database see first. We look for multiple letters of intent, one of our principals negotiates each, and we are paid only when the deal closes. Neighboring markets are on our Dallas page and the regional page for Dallas–Fort Worth.

Questions owners in Las Colinas ask
Will my Las Colinas company's corporate clients need to approve a sale?
It depends on the contracts. Some customer agreements require consent when ownership changes; many do not. Your transaction attorney decides how each clause applies, and we identify the key contracts early so consent, if needed, is planned into the timeline rather than discovered late in due diligence.
Do buyers pay more for a company based in Las Colinas?
The address itself does not set the price. Buyers pay for earnings, recurring contracts, customer spread and a team able to operate without you. A location near both major airports and inside the Metroplex does make it easy for buyers to visit, which helps keep several of them in the process.
