Fulshear business brokers and M&A advisors
Fulshear owners planning to sell a business can retain MDR & Associates, a Texas M&A advisor whose only clients are sellers. The city sits in northwestern Fort Bend County where FM 359 meets FM 1093, about 33 miles west of Houston, and our advisors travel from our corporate office in Frisco to meet you at your business or another private spot.
A plantation town that became a Fort Bend County boom
Churchill Fulshear received his land grant in 1824 from the Mexican government and Stephen F. Austin, and the plantation raised cotton, corn, rice, pecans and livestock with enslaved labor. His son added a cotton gin and a flour mill that ran into the late 1880s, and a horse track called Churchill Downs operated from the 1850s to the 1870s. The San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railroad won a right-of-way in 1888, and the Southern Pacific took ownership in 1892.
The city incorporated in 1977 and stayed small for decades, with about 700 people in 2008 and 1,134 in 2010. Growth took off in the 2000s, and the 2020 census counted 16,856. In 2017 Fulshear was listed as the richest small town in Texas. Interstate 10 at Brookshire is seven miles north, and the city belongs to the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area.

Who buys companies on Houston's western edge
A population that grew nearly fifteenfold in ten years creates plenty of work for trade companies that run crews and keep customers coming back, and those are central to what we sell. Our home services page explains how they are valued, and Apple Garage Doors and Alliance Mechanical Services, two home-services companies, are among the firm's closed sales.
Buyers for such companies include individual operators, capital groups and private equity firms, many already active around Houston. Our outreach begins inside our own list of vetted buyers; blind ads on national marketplaces follow only if needed, and nobody sees a name until a confidentiality agreement is signed and funding has been proven. More about the metro is on our Houston page.
What happens after the first call
For a quick range, try the free valuation snapshot online. The fuller answer comes from a confidential discovery meeting: three years of your financials, reviewed by us, and a low and a high figure for the company. Once engaged, we produce the marketing package, the recast and an HD video, invite competing letters of intent, and a principal negotiates on your behalf. The firm's fee depends entirely on a closed sale.

Questions owners in Fulshear ask
My company grew along with Fulshear. Will buyers believe the growth will continue?
Buyers pay for growth they can verify and expect to last. We show revenue by year and by customer type, how much comes from repeat or contracted work, and the scheduled service ahead. That lets a buyer see how your growth was built rather than simply assuming the town's expansion will carry it.
Is Fulshear close enough to Houston for larger buyers to take an interest?
Yes. Fulshear is part of the Houston metropolitan area, and buyers who already own companies there often want to add neighboring service territory. We also reach buyers elsewhere in Texas and nationally, so interest never depends on one group, and competition among them is what sets the final price.
