Missouri City business brokers and M&A advisors
Missouri City owners weighing a sale can turn to MDR & Associates, business brokers who represent the seller alone and run a confidential, competitive process. The city lies mostly in Fort Bend County, bordered by Houston, Stafford, Sugar Land and Arcola, and is crossed by Beltway 8, the Fort Bend Toll Road, State Highway 6 and U.S. 90A. Advisors from our firm travel to meet you, either at your business or at a discreet location.
First railroad in Texas, then oil, salt and suburbs
Missouri City's rail line, the Buffalo Bayou, Brazos and Colorado Railway, began running in 1853 as the first railroad to operate in Texas. Real estate investors bought land along it in 1890, and W. R. McElroy chose the name to promote the area to buyers in St. Louis. Oil and a salt mine at Blue Ridge, four miles away, followed in 1919, and the town became their rail shipping point. After natural gas was found in 1925, it was the first town in Fort Bend County to use it.
By the 1950s Missouri City had become a bedroom community for Houston, and it incorporated in 1956. Master-planned neighborhoods such as Quail Valley, Lake Olympia, Riverstone and Sienna Plantation followed, and the 2020 census counted 74,259 residents. Communities like these create steady demand for companies that maintain homes and serve households. Private equity groups and larger regional operators pay attention to service companies with repeat customers, and our home services page explains what they check.

When your customers live in master-planned neighborhoods
A buyer looking at a company that serves Sienna, Riverstone or Quail Valley wants to know how customers are won and kept. Service agreements, maintenance plans, reviews and repeat visits tell that story better than a revenue total. So does a clear picture of which technicians and managers will stay after the sale. We build those details into the confidential marketing package, so the buyer's first impression is of a durable customer base rather than a list of one-off jobs.
Our sale process for Fort Bend County owners
Step one is a private meeting at no cost, where we learn how the company runs and what you want from a sale. Step two is a low-to-high opinion of value drawn from your last three years of numbers. Buyers who want more than the blind profile must sign an NDA and document their funding. How we run a sale sets out all ten steps, and our Houston page covers the metro's buyer pool.

Questions owners in Missouri City ask
Is my Missouri City company valued as a Houston business or a Fort Bend County business?
Buyers value the earnings, not the ZIP code. Being inside the Houston metro, with Beltway 8 and the Fort Bend Toll Road nearby, makes the company easy for regional buyers to reach and serve. What moves the price is profit, customer mix and a team that stays, so that is where our marketing package puts its weight.
Can I sell to a buyer who plans to keep my Missouri City staff and location?
Yes. When several buyers compete, you can weigh more than price. Some plan to keep the team and the location, while others plan to merge operations. We ask each finalist about those plans before you choose, and the letter of intent can address employment and lease terms so your intentions are on paper.
