Little Elm business brokers and M&A advisors
MDR & Associates helps owners sell a company in Little Elm, the Denton County town on the northern and eastern shores of Lewisville Lake. As business brokers and M&A advisors based in the Metroplex, we represent sellers only and meet you wherever is private and convenient.
A lakeside town with a professional workforce
Little Elm was established in 1844 by C.C. "Kit" King and incorporated in 1966. Its first official census, in 1970, counted 363 people; by 2020 the count was 46,453. Water covers more than a fifth of its 18.6 square miles, and Eldorado Parkway, FM 423, FM 720, the Dallas North Tollway and U.S. 380 connect it to the rest of the region. Students attend the Little Elm, Frisco or Denton school districts depending on where they live.
The largest employers are the school district and the town itself, followed by Kroger, Lowe's and Retractable Technologies. By sector, residents work mostly in retail trade, finance and insurance, professional, scientific and technical services, construction and education. That profile points to two kinds of companies that fit what we sell: professional and business services firms, and trade companies that keep the area's homes running.

What buyers ask of a Little Elm professional firm
If you run an accounting, engineering, IT, staffing or consulting firm, buyers will ask how much of your revenue comes from repeat clients, whether client relationships belong to the firm or to you personally, and whether your senior staff will stay after a sale. Contracts, retention history and a second layer of management all raise the price. Our business services practice explains how we present those points so buyers see them early.
The first conversation with a Little Elm owner
Our corporate office is in Frisco and the firm works across the Metroplex, so an advisor comes to Little Elm for the first meeting. That meeting costs nothing and stays confidential, and once we have studied three years of financials we give you an opinion of value. For a rough figure beforehand, try the online valuation snapshot. Buyers see a blind profile, sign a confidentiality agreement and prove their funding before they learn your company's name, and our fee is due only if the sale closes. The broader Dallas–Fort Worth region page covers the market around the lake.

Questions owners in Little Elm ask
I run a construction-related company in Little Elm. Does MDR & Associates represent it?
It depends on the kind. We represent home-services and trade companies with repeat customers and crews, such as HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, garage doors and pest control. We do not represent general contractors or companies that win work by project bids. If yours is a trade company, a free first meeting will show whether it fits.
Do buyers care that many of my Little Elm firm's clients are in finance and insurance?
They care about who the clients are and how steady the work is. Clients in finance and insurance can bring long relationships and regular budgets, which buyers like. They will still check concentration, contract length and whether the relationships stay with the firm after you step back.
