Santa Fe business brokers and M&A advisors
If you own a company in Santa Fe and are thinking about selling, MDR & Associates works as your M&A advisor: we value the business, find qualified buyers in confidence and negotiate for you alone. Santa Fe sits on State Highway 6 in Galveston County, about 35 miles south of downtown Houston and 20 miles northwest of Galveston, and our advisors meet owners there at their place of business or somewhere private.
A young city on an old railroad line
Santa Fe only became a city on January 21, 1978, when residents of Alta Loma and parts of Arcadia incorporated so they would not be annexed by Hitchcock. The name goes back much further: the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway was built through the western part of Galveston County in 1877, and the school district took its name from that line. Highland Bayou and Halls Bayou run southeast through the city toward West Bay, and the 2020 census counted 12,735 residents.
Companies that serve a place like this tend to be owner-run: trades, service contractors, suppliers and the offices that support them, often with customers on both sides of the county line toward Houston. Buyers of HVAC, plumbing, roofing and pest control firms study exactly that kind of customer base, and our home services page lists what they check first.

Three questions every Santa Fe buyer asks
How much of the revenue repeats year after year? Would customers stay if you stepped back? Do the books for the last three years reconcile? We answer those in a financial recast and a confidential marketing package before anyone asks, and every company we take to market also gets a professionally produced HD video. Buyers first see only a blind profile with no name. To learn more, each one registers, signs a nondisclosure agreement and completes a financial profile showing the money is there.
Working with MDR from Galveston County
Our corporate office is in Frisco, and the Houston side of Texas is a market we cover in person; the Houston page explains how. We start with a free, confidential discovery meeting and, after reviewing three years of financials, give you a low-to-high opinion of value. If you want a quick range before that conversation, the valuation snapshot takes a few minutes online. Our fee is paid only if the company sells.

Questions owners in Santa Fe ask
Will buyers from Houston look at a company based in Santa Fe?
They can. The city is about 35 miles from downtown Houston, and many of the individual buyers, capital groups and private equity groups in our database look for Texas companies across the whole region. What matters more than the address is steady profit, clean records and a team that can run the business without you.
Can I keep a sale quiet in a city the size of Santa Fe?
Yes, and we plan for it from day one. Your company is marketed without its name, and no buyer hears who you are until they have signed a confidentiality agreement and shown they can fund the purchase. Employees, customers and competitors should learn about the sale when you choose to tell them, not before.
