Bryan business brokers and M&A advisors
If you plan to sell a business in Bryan, MDR & Associates can represent you from the first valuation to the day funds are wired. Bryan has been the Brazos County seat since 1866 and shares a metro area with College Station and Texas A&M; our advisors drive in and meet you at your office or somewhere private.
A railroad county seat that became half of a university metro
Bryan grew because the Houston and Texas Central Railroad reached it in 1867, a year after the county seat moved here from Boonville. The town incorporated in 1871, and in 1910 it built an interurban line to the college that is now Texas A&M. Today Bryan has 83,980 residents and, with College Station on its southern border, forms the Bryan–College Station metropolitan area, the 15th largest in Texas and part of the market on our Central Texas page. State Highways 6, 21 and 47 and U.S. Highway 190 all run through it.
The area's largest employers show a varied economy: after Texas A&M come the Bryan and College Station school districts, the Texas A&M Health Science Center, Blinn College, Reynolds and Reynolds, CHI St. Joseph Health, Sanderson Farms, Walmart and H-E-B.

Selling a supplier to Bryan's hospitals, schools and large employers
If your company's biggest accounts are among those employers, buyers will be interested and careful at the same time. They like a customer that pays reliably for years; they worry about losing it. Show the length of each major relationship, the contracts or purchase orders behind it, and how revenue from your top five customers has moved over three years. If one account is a large share of sales, we plan how to present that risk honestly rather than hope nobody asks.
Recasting the financials, adding back owner expenses and one-time costs, is part of how we present every company, and it often changes the number a buyer starts from. We represent profitable companies with $3 million to $100 million in revenue, including business services firms, distributors, manufacturers and home-services companies.

Questions owners in Bryan ask
Is it a problem if one of Bryan's large employers is my biggest customer?
Not if it is presented properly. A long, stable relationship with a school district, hospital or large company can support a strong price. Buyers discount risk they cannot measure, so we show the account's history, the contract terms and what the company would look like without it. Honest numbers keep a large customer from becoming a large discount.
Do buyers from Houston and Austin look at companies in Bryan?
They do, alongside individuals, capital groups and private equity groups that buy anywhere in Texas. State Highway 6 and State Highway 21 both run through Bryan, and an acquirer from either city can reach you easily. We contact qualified buyers from our own database first and add wider outreach only if the company needs it.
