How it ran
Party Time Texas has provided DJs and event packages across Dallas–Fort Worth since 1978, from birthday parties to the annual Cancer Walk in downtown Dallas.
Its founder wanted to stay involved until the company's 50th anniversary. So the task was not simply to find the highest bidder, but a buyer group that would carry the business on under him — and that is the buyer we closed with.
Our goal was to find a buyer group that would continue to carry on the generational legacy Bill started in 1978. We are honored to have represented him and successfully closed this transaction.

The strongest single driver. Revenue under contract, on a schedule, or under a maintenance agreement is worth a multiple of the same revenue sold ad hoc.
Owner dependence
If customers buy because of you, the buyer is not buying a business. Reducing this is the highest-return work available before a sale.
Customer retention and length
Churn and average tenure tell a buyer what they are really acquiring. Have the numbers ready before they ask.
