Red Oak business brokers and M&A advisors
MDR & Associates is a Dallas–Fort Worth M&A advisor, headquartered in Frisco, and when an owner decides to sell a company in Red Oak or anywhere else in Ellis County, we represent that owner and no one else. Red Oak lies about 18 miles south of downtown Dallas on Interstate 35E, so a sit-down at your business is an easy drive for our team.
Red Oak on the I-35E corridor south of Dallas
The town began as Possum Trot, settled in 1844 and renamed in 1849. The Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad reached it in 1884 and was finished in 1890, linking it to Dallas and Waco, and the city incorporated in 1949. Today it borders Lancaster, Glenn Heights, Ferris and Waxahachie, has two exits on I-35E, and had 14,222 residents at the 2020 census.
In 2023 Google announced a $600 million data center campus on a 375-acre site off Ovilla Road. For owners, a project of that size is a reminder that large investors are paying attention to the southern edge of the Metroplex. Whatever your company does, a buyer will want to know how it fits into that growth: whether its customers are spread along I-35E, whether the crew can take on more work, and whether revenue rests on a few accounts or many steady ones.

What an Ellis County sale looks like with us
Our Metroplex base lets us be at your shop or office on short notice, and that helps when a sale moves quickly. Most of our engagements run three to nine months from the signed engagement letter to money in your account; one closed in eight days, and another took eighteen months. Our ten-step process shows what happens in each stretch, from the marketing package and video through buyer screening, due diligence and the legal documents.
Two things shape the result more than anything else. The first is competition: we try to bring more than one serious bidder to the letter-of-intent stage, because a buyer who knows others are at the table rarely opens low. The second is who does the negotiating. At our firm a principal is there for every round, not a junior associate reading from notes, and each offer is presented to you face to face, with the decision to take it, turn it down or push back left to you alone.

Questions owners in Red Oak ask
Does a buyer care whether my company is in Red Oak or in Dallas itself?
Less than most owners expect. Buyers price earnings, customers and the team. Quick access to I-35E and the rest of the Metroplex matters to companies that serve customers across the region, and a buyer who already owns businesses nearby may want a base south of Dallas.
Will the Google data center raise the value of my Red Oak company?
Only if it changes your results. Buyers pay for what the business earns and can keep earning. If new work tied to the project shows up in your revenue, the recast will show it, and a buyer will want to know whether it is a one-time job or a lasting customer. We present that honestly so the price holds up in due diligence.
