Lancaster business brokers and M&A advisors
MDR & Associates works as M&A advisors for owners who want to sell a company in Lancaster, the southern Dallas County city where Interstate 35E forms the western boundary and Interstate 20 crosses the north side. We are a Metroplex firm that represents sellers only, and we come to you.
Warehouses on the Blackland Prairie
Lancaster was founded in 1852 as a frontier post and is one of Dallas County's earliest settlements. After 1950 it turned into a suburban bedroom community, growing from about 2,600 residents that year to 7,501 in 1960, and the 2020 census counted 41,275. It lies about 15 miles south of downtown Dallas, with Interstate 45 roughly five miles to the east.
Logistics now shapes much of the local economy. The Park 20/35 industrial area houses facilities for Quaker Oats/PepsiCo, Mars Petcare and BMW, and the city's largest employers in 2024 included Walmart, the school district, DSV, Wayfair and ThredUp. Lancaster Regional Airport serves general aviation and acts as a reliever for DFW International and Love Field.
For a privately held distributor, wholesaler, trucking or warehouse services company, that setting is part of the story you tell buyers. They will study customer contracts, lease terms, fleet condition and margins by customer. Our distribution and wholesale practice explains how buyers value companies like these.

Getting the numbers right before a Lancaster sale
Distribution companies often work on thin margins, so small accounting differences move the price. A financial recast adds back the owner's personal expenses and one-time costs to show real earnings, and that is the figure buyers multiply. The valuation snapshot gives you a first range online in a few minutes. After that, a free discovery meeting and a close look at three years of statements produce our opinion of value.
Where our advisors meet Lancaster owners
The firm is based in the Metroplex with a corporate office in Frisco, so meetings happen at your business or anywhere discreet you choose. Buyers read a blind profile first and must sign a confidentiality agreement and prove they can fund a purchase before we name the company. When several are interested we negotiate their letters of intent at the same time, and a principal of the firm is at every negotiation. Our Dallas page describes the wider market to the north of you.

Questions owners in Lancaster ask
Do buyers pay more for a Lancaster distribution company because it sits near I-35E and I-20?
Location helps a buyer's story, but it does not set the price on its own. Buyers pay for earnings, contracts and people. A company that can show steady margins, long customer relationships and a lease that transfers cleanly will get stronger offers, and a good interstate location adds to that case rather than replacing it.
Can a Lancaster warehouse or fleet company be sold without its customers finding out early?
Yes. Buyers see an anonymous profile first, and they learn your company's name only after signing a confidentiality agreement. We also agree with you when, and how, key customers are told, which is usually late in the process and often with the new owner in the room to reassure them.
