Grassdale, the railroad and a tollway boom
The post office opened in 1859 under the name Grassdale. Rails of the Houston and Texas Central arrived on Christmas Day 1871, and the town, named for James B. Manor, who had settled on Gilleland Creek, was founded the following year. Cotton carried the early economy until fires and the boll weevil took their toll, and Manor incorporated as a town in 1913.
The tollway system that opened in 2006 changed Manor's reach. The population went from 5,037 in 2010 to 13,652 in 2020, an increase of 171 percent. A Walmart went up on the east side near U.S. 290 and FM 973, and Manor Medical Center broke ground in 2013. State Highways 130 and 45 tie the city into the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area.

A company that grew as fast as the town
When a town nearly triples in ten years, trade and service companies that keep pace with demand can grow quickly, and buyers take notice. They will also ask whether that growth came with systems that hold up: scheduling, pricing, hiring and a lead person who keeps crews working when you are away. Our home services page covers heating and air, plumbing, roofing, landscaping and similar trades.
The sale itself starts with a financial recast showing what the company really earns, then a confidential marketing package and HD video. We take the company first to buyers already in our own records and, only if needed, to blind listings, working to set several offers against one another. The rest of the metro is covered on our Austin page.
Paying for the sale
There is no upfront charge for selling. The firm earns a success fee when and if the company sells, at a percentage set in the engagement letter that falls as the transaction grows. A formal valuation or pre-exit consulting, if you want either, is a separate service with its own price. The first discovery meeting costs nothing; in it we go through three years of statements and share the value range we see.

Questions owners in Manor ask
Should I sell my Manor company now, given how fast the area has grown?
Market growth can help, but timing depends mostly on your own numbers and plans. The best moment is usually when earnings are rising and you are not yet worn out. We would start with a free opinion of value now, plus an honest view on whether waiting another year or two would likely add to the price.
Will Austin-based buyers be interested in a company out on U.S. 290?
Many will, since Manor is part of the Austin–Round Rock metro and the toll roads put it within easy reach. We also approach buyers across Texas and nationally, including private equity and capital groups, so your company is never dependent on one local buyer's interest.
