Comanche business brokers and M&A advisors
An owner who wants to sell a company in Comanche can hire MDR & Associates to represent them: to set a realistic value, bring in qualified buyers and negotiate the terms. Comanche is the Comanche County seat on U.S. 67 and 377 and State Highways 16 and 36, and we come to you for meetings.
Comanche's roads, rail line and old courthouse
A military supply road known as the Corn Trail reached the area in 1850 to supply the forts and encourage settlement. Comanche was established in 1856 and incorporated in 1858. The city sits on the main line of the Fort Worth and Western Railroad, which as of 2024 carries freight only, and it had 4,211 residents in 2020.
Its past is on display in the Old Cora Courthouse, one of the oldest standing wooden courthouses in Texas, and in the Comanche County Historical Museum, which includes a blacksmith shop among its historic buildings. For an owner, that local history is mostly background; what a buyer weighs is the company itself.

Getting a Comanche County company ready for buyers
With a small local population, the buyer for an established company here will most likely come from elsewhere in Texas. That buyer will want to understand the business quickly and at a distance, so the quality of the records matters more than usual. Profit-and-loss statements, tax returns and bank records should agree with each other for at least two to three years.
A buyer will also ask about the physical side of the business, such as trucks, equipment and buildings, and whether you own or lease them. If your operation relies on the rail line or the highways to reach customers, spell out how. Companies in distribution are judged heavily on routes, suppliers and inventory, and we know how to present each one.

Questions owners in Comanche ask
Is it a problem that most of my equipment in Comanche is old but paid off?
Not necessarily. Buyers will look at what it will cost to keep the equipment running or to replace it, and that can affect the price. Paid-off assets help cash flow, which buyers like. We list the condition and age of major equipment in the marketing package so there are no surprises in due diligence.
How do I compare an offer from a local buyer with one from a buyer in Fort Worth?
Look past the headline price. Compare how much is paid in cash at closing, how much is financed or deferred, what you must guarantee, and how long you are asked to stay. A lower offer with more cash up front can be worth more. We lay competing letters of intent side by side and walk you through them in person.
