If you have started to think about how to sell a business in Dublin, MDR & Associates can tell you what it is worth and find the buyers who will pay the most for it. The Irish Capital of Texas and its bottling history
Named after Dublin, Ireland, the town was designated the official Irish Capital of Texas in a bill signed in 2005. It is best known for the world's oldest Dr Pepper bottling plant, which for many years was the only U.S. source of Dr Pepper made with real cane sugar. After 120 years that arrangement ended, and Dublin Bottling Works now operates independently.
Dublin was once the southern end of the Wichita Falls and Southern Railroad, abandoned in 1954. State Highway 6 runs through downtown as Blackjack Street, while U.S. 377 bypasses the city on the west. It had 3,359 residents in 2020, with Fort Worth 80 miles to the northeast and Waco 90 miles to the southeast.

When a local brand is the business
Dublin's bottling story holds a lesson for any owner: a recognized name and a loyal following are assets a buyer will pay for, but only if they are protected. Buyers will check who owns trademarks, recipes, customer lists and supplier agreements, and whether any of them depend on one person. Getting ownership documented in the company's name before a sale avoids painful surprises.
Food and beverage producers, small manufacturing operations and distributors are judged on margins, supplier terms and the reliability of their sales channels. Home-service and trade companies are judged on repeat customers and crews. Either way, we present the company to buyers who understand that kind of business.
Working with MDR & Associates from Erath County
We represent sellers only, and more than 250 completed transactions since 2008 stand behind that work. With no office outside Frisco, we meet Dublin owners at their place of business or anywhere private. You receive a free opinion of value after we examine three years of financials, and if you go ahead, your company is shown only to screened buyers who have signed confidentiality agreements. Multiple letters of intent are negotiated together, and each is reviewed with you in person. Our fees are due only at closing. For a formal estimate before deciding, consider a business valuation.

Questions owners in Dublin ask
How do buyers value a brand or recipe my Dublin company owns?
Usually as part of the business's earnings rather than as a separate line. A strong brand shows up in steady sales, loyal customers and better margins, and buyers pay for that. They also need clear legal ownership of the name and any recipes or formulas, so we help you confirm those documents are in order early.
Is it better to sell my Dublin business to a buyer from Fort Worth or Waco than to someone local?
The best buyer is whoever values your company most, wherever they live. An operator from a larger city may pay more because it can add your customers to an existing business. A local buyer may know the market better. Running a competitive process lets you compare real offers instead of guessing.
